Looking like a stalking spider, this three-legged steel stool is lightweight and strong. The name Apis, comes from the word Apidae (meaning the bee family of insects).

The insect-like stools can be stacked by rotating each stool a few degrees over the one below.

The Apis comes in back or white, and the triangular seat comes in a two-tone version, that resembles the colouring of a bee.

The stool was designed by Italian designer, Alessandro Loschiavo for Aliantedizioni, and won a Chicago Athenaeum - Good Design Award for 2011.
